Did you know a new tax law allows donors over 70½ to make a charitable contribution to Brandeis University from their traditional IRA accounts and receive a lifetime of payments in return?
Under the new law, donors who are over age 70½ can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution in exchange for a charitable gift annuity — a simple contract between you and Brandeis promising to pay you a fixed amount each year for life. You can make this election only once in your lifetime and there is a limit of $54,000. Although there is no charitable deduction for your contribution, your QCD counts toward your required minimum distribution and is not included in your income for tax purposes.
We would be happy to provide details about this exciting opportunity.
